This kit is for those of you who love the sound of a humbucker neck pick-up in your Tele! While this truly is an awesome mod/neck PU option, often times no attention is paid to the electronics connected to it. We use the same high-quality 500k pots from our Les Paul kits here and wire the proper value resistor to the switch for the bridge PU. This allows your Tele bridge PU to "see" the volume pot at the appropriate value for superior tone.

Specs:

500k CTS Short Shaft Pots – custom audio taper, manufactured to a 10% tolerance to ensure proper values.  These pots offer exceptional volume and tone control for your guitar!  Nice, smooth turning torque, no steep drop-offs or loss of high frequencies even when rolled waaayy back.  Brass shaft and brass bushing give these pots a beefed up construction.  Metered and tested for optimum volume and tone values.

Brass Pot Sleeves - used to convert a split shaft pot to solid shaft. We include two.

Jensen .022 Paper-In-Oil Capacitor – top-notch tone cap that is exceptional for guitar circuits. A nice choice for a vintage-flavored tone. Often used in well-crafted tube guitar amps and hi-fi tube audio equipment. Made in Denmark.

Carbon Comp Resistor - standard "classic" resistor, 270k.

CRL 3-way Switch – the best quality vintage style switch available today. Made in U.S.A.

22 Gauge Cloth Hook-Up Wire – excellent quality and vintage appearance. Seven strands of twisted wire wrapped in two layers of woven cloth....nice stuff! Waxed outer layer.

Switchcraft Mil-Spec Input Jack – rated for twice the life of a commercial jack. Silver plated contacts, heavy-in-the-hand.....this one can take some abuse! Nickel-plated finish washer and nut with lock washer.

Champtone Tele Style Mounting Template – the control assembly ships mounted to a custom, laser cut, plexi template.  These are a great way to store your vintage or prized guitar's original control assembly.

PLEASE NOTE - All sizing is U.S. Assemblies are built based on vintage tooling. Pots have .375" bushing and .375" shaft (knurled end, 24 teeth).
